Accessibility

How accessible this website is — and what to do if something does not work.

Current status

In September 2026 we reviewed and reworked this website against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the same standard the European norm EN 301 549 applies, and with it the German Accessibility Strengthening Act. In our assessment the site is largely conformant.

What that means in practice

  • The whole site can be operated with the keyboard alone — including booking, the image gallery and every dialogue.
  • Every page starts with a skip link that bypasses the navigation.
  • All text meets the required contrast, including over photos and coloured areas.
  • All 53 gallery images have a description that can be read aloud.
  • The site can be zoomed to 200 % and works from 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling.
  • The header slideshow can be paused. If your system asks for reduced motion, it starts paused.

Known limitations

Two photos of the pool area carry text burned into the image that cannot be enlarged. The wording is repeated in the image description, but we are replacing those photos.

The embedded Google map comes from a third party whose accessibility we cannot influence. The address and directions are therefore also provided as text beside it.

Something not working?

Please tell us. Describe briefly which page is affected and what went wrong — we will look into it and get back to you.

How we tested

Automated measurement with axe-core across all pages at two screen widths, complemented by manual checks of keyboard operation, focus handling in dialogues and contrast values. Last reviewed: 13 September 2026.

Legal note

As a micro-enterprise we are exempt from the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act under § 3 (3). We implement them voluntarily, because a website everybody can use is simply the better website.
